Privacy Policy
Heatworx is a heat-loss survey and heating design support app for property surveys, room measurements, heating calculations, and related reports. This Privacy Policy explains what information Heatworx collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Some features described in this policy may only apply if they are available in your version of Heatworx and you choose to use them.
1. Who we are
Heatworx is operated by TidyGaff Limited. TidyGaff Limited is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.

2. What Heatworx does
Heatworx helps users capture property and room information, estimate heat loss, review heating system suitability, and generate survey and report outputs.
The app may store survey information such as property details, room dimensions, construction details, heating emitter information, photos, scan-derived room geometry, notes, and calculation results.
3. Data stored on your device
Heatworx is designed to work locally on your device. Survey data is stored on your device, including:

- Heating emitter and heat generator information
- Construction assumptions and calculation inputs
- Room scan or measurement data
- Photos or images you choose to add
- Notes, comments, and report information
- Calculation results and generated report data
If you delete the app, local data may also be deleted unless it has been exported, backed up, or synced elsewhere by you.

Depending on how you use the app, survey data may include personal information relating to you, your customers, or properties you survey. This may include property addresses, customer names and contact details, property notes, survey photos, room and building information, heating system information, and generated reports.
If you use Heatworx for work involving your own customers, you are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect, store, and share that customer information.
6. Sync, backup, and cloud features
If you enable sync, backup, or cloud features, survey and account data is uploaded to our servers or trusted service providers so that we can provide those features.
Data uploaded for sync or backup may include survey records, room and property information, calculation inputs and results, photos or scan-related data, account and subscription identifiers, and timestamps and change history needed to keep data in sync.
If sync or backup features are not enabled, survey data remains only on your device unless you export or share it yourself.
